Possible fit for roof carrier

So surfing the yahoo auctions I came across a possible fit for a roof carrier. It's actually constructed for a Mistuibishi Pajero or the Montero I believe it is back in the States. Bidding has started at one yen so a little over a penny and will close in four days. Here you can see the pics for yourself:
The shorter part is the length of it and the longer part the width. See the braces on the sides. It also comes with the JAOS ladder for the Pajero and plenty of nifty catches on the sides. With the bidding as low as it is I figure why not go for it. I'll have to make it work obviously but with time and patience that should be no issue. Measurements are roughly 4.2ftx3.4 so it could work
You can see the ladder here and the clips for installing. The sides feature latches that were likely used for skis, etc.

Any and all worn bolts and nuts will no doubt be replaced. I'll keep my eye on it then and see what happens. If I win it and make it work then I will put my four JAOS H4 lights up on this bad boy.

Here is a pic of the 185 JAOS roof carrier:
As it turns out this is only .35ft larger so roughly four inches larger across so should be an easy adjustment. I like JAOS products by why are they so ridiculously expensive?

*Followup: 8/7/2012 Price went over my range and didn't bid so looks like I missed out but there will be others. Currently looking at a Supercharger on Ebay with a URD pulley and fuel timing kit.

New home

Got word that the truck was moved on Saturday, so Saturday night my time here in Japan. Had the truck moved to my parents place and out of my open garage at my empty house. Everything intact thankfully after a year. Was a bit nervous but luckily no worries.

Been spending a lot of time looking over my different mods and also looking for alternatives. No need to sacrifice money when one can find something comparable or even more efficient. Couple of things that I have dropped off of my list include the Borla exhaust; I'll be sticking with the Magnaflow that I already have on there so I imagine that that will pocket me roughly $800 ($650 for headers plus balance on install) which I can save or look to put towards something else. Also dropped the throttle spacer since I won't need it with the supercharger. Third I have forgone the URD 7th injector kit for a water/methanol injector; going with the Devil's Own stage two universal kit with appropriate nozzles. These three alone in addition to finding some lower prices will save me about a good 2k. It's certainly good to shop around.

This is what the truck looks like currently:

Got in the clinometer and altimeter console today!! 7/28/2012

Happy to say I got in today the used 3rd Gen Hilux Surf Altimeter today! Although my rebuild is a ways off it feels good to have the first item in hand. Here are some pics; I will test it out in the coming days and will also clean the light cover and down the road replace the exposed bulbs on the back with LEDs if possible.
My truck has tan interior so I will paint this before installing. I will also switch out the switches on my sunroof controls back home in order to match the finish.
Thanks and let me know if you have any questions. PS: the unit ran me 7600 yen which would be about $85 bucks with current exchange rates. Picked it up off of yahoo auctions Japan. Getting back on  to check out a few more OEM parts here in a bit. Thanks and please comment or question.

Shopping List...

Started my list for the parts I'll need to rebuild my truck which has sat in a garage with a busted cam shaft...

New Engine and Tranny chief among things of course.

As of today: August 12, I have the JDM inclinometer and the rear gate purchased. Will send stuff home whenever I can.
